The Coolscreen 10 is a fully-integrated built-in screen designed to disappear completely within the cavity wall—without penetrating the building shell. This design preserves the clean, minimalist look of your façade, with a bottom lath that becomes completely concealed by the box. Thanks to patented technologies such as Harmo-Glide and X-Glide, the fabric remains perfectly tensioned at all times. Coolscreen 10 is fully concealed in the cavity wall. No visible screws, no visible box. When retracted, even the bottom lath completely disappears into the box. This keeps your façade sleek and aesthetically pure.
The patented Harmo-Glide zip guide profile ensures continuous and even tension across the entire fabric. Special die springs create a unique concertina effect: maintaining a light, stable tension in gentle winds while increasing resistance in stronger wind conditions. Yes, screens improve privacy during the day. Thanks to the fabric’s special structure, you can see the outside from indoors, but the view for people outside is hindered.
Please note: In the evening, when indoor lights are switched on, the effect is reduced and people outside will be able to see in.
For complete privacy, in the evening too, black-out screens or roller shutters are a better choice.
You are advised not to roll up wet screens as this can lead to mould/mildew, stains and quicker deterioration of the fabric.
Is the screen wet due to the rain? Let it dry out fully before you roll it up. If you can’t do that immediately, roll it out again later to prevent any moisture being trapped.
To extend the life expectancy of the screen, and keep the fabric in good condition, it is important to keep it clean and dry.
Clean the screen’s box and profiles regularly with lukewarm water and a neutral soap, such as car shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with tap water to remove any soap residues.
Never use corrosive products, scratchy sponges or aggressive cleaning agents or you may damage the surface.
Thanks to the closed box, the fabric remains effectively protected from dirt, so you shouldn’t need to carry out any intensive maintenance.
