Diest, 8 July 2026 – Harol officially received two prestigious design awards yesterday during the Red Dot Design Award Ceremony in Essen, Germany. Both the Versuz Linea pergola and the new Coolina under-glass awning were acclaimed for their outstanding design, innovation, and exceptional ease of use.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s most prestigious distinctions in the field of product design. Each year, an independent international jury honours products, concepts, and brands that excel in design quality, innovation, functionality, and user experience.
For Harol, the official award ceremony marks a special milestone. The double recognition underlines the sun shading specialist’s strong commitment to developing innovative products that combine outstanding design, smart technology, sustainability, and ease of use.

The Coolina and Versuz Linea received a Red Dot Award 2026 thanks to their outstanding combination of timeless design, advanced technology, and sustainability. The Coolina, Harol’s latest innovation, stands out as a durable, low-maintenance under-glass awning, featuring smart solutions such as the patented ClickFit system. This system enables quick and efficient installation, simplifies fabric replacement, and delivers significant time savings during maintenance and after-sales service.
The Versuz Linea impressed the jury with its minimalist, horizontal design and integrated comfort features, such as the optional Variovolant Solar. Subtly integrated into the extension pole, this solar-powered valance provides additional protection from low-angle sunlight while also enhancing privacy. Both products demonstrate how thoughtful design and ease of use can work together to create an exceptional user experience.
